It’s time to talk about the END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!
Yes, I know some of us (like me) are still on Spring Break, and we’re all thinking about the multitude of state and standardized exams and tests we have to endure for the last grading period. However, planning ahead, we know that the last grading period, both us, admin, and the students will be tired, burnt out, and dragging!
For years, when I taught 6th grade, I have always done this extensive project for the last 9 weeks, where students start thinking and planning their summer vacations. This gets tired, test-weary kids EXCTIED!
I have constructed a THEME PARK PROJECT, just for us to relax and little and watch students work! Watch students use their collaborative skills, Watch students work creatively. They show us just how much they were paying attention all year!
This isn’t just any project – it’s an exhilarating journey that will ignite their creativity, promote collaboration, and showcase your presentation and organizational skills like never before. It’s language arts based, with computational skills, critical thinking skills, all mixed in with group symmetry and creativity.
